Abstract
An attempt was made to tackle the problem of the electron structure and molecular state in various solvents of the uranyl and tetravalent uranium compounds from various aspects to obtain further data relative to the electron structure manifested by their complex forming properties and oxidation-reduction reactions. The structure of the uranyl ion is studied by observing the behavior of uranyl nitrate in organic solvents. The absorption spectra method was used in the investigations. (W.D.M.)
