Abstract

Reference range values for 13 hematological and 13 clinical chemistry parameters were studied from 16 Nude mice strain BALB/cMlac-nu with 6-34 weeks of age, bred in National Laboratory Animal Center (NLAC). Blood samples were collected by heart puncture method. Data lists include the mean, standard error, 95 percent interval of mean. The 13 hematological parameters were WBC, RBC, Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, PLT, NEU, LYMPH, EO, BASO, and MONO. The 13 blood chemistry parameters were GLU, BUN, CREA, CHOL, TG, UA, ALB, GLOB, Bili-T, AST, ALT, and ALP. The results showed that male and female nude mice were not statistical different in the hematological values (p-value GT 0.05). The blood chemistry values were almost not statistical differences except GLU, Bili-T. Almost data from NLAC and Charles river were harmonized. The reference range values of NLAC in routine computerized data can be applied to control value for health monitoring and scientists or researchers.
