Abstract
In acute and chronic experiments on rabbits subjeetcd to radiocobalt irradiation (800 r), the reflexes from the carotid sinus on respiration, heart, and blood pressure were studied. Changes of the pressor reflex from the carotid sinus (decrease, disappearance, and perversion), observed in the period of primary reaction and at the height of acute radiation sickness, are of central origin and are connected, apparently, with disturbance of normal intercentral interrelations of reflexes with sinocarotid and aortic reflexogenic zones.
