Abstract

In fifty-seven healthy individuals a significant correlation ( r = 0.3, P < 0.05) has been found between responses of their lymphocytes to stimulation by PHA and by pooled lymphocytes in MLC. It is suggested that these tests quantitate the general status of T cell reactivity of individuals, and may be used in conjunction with the results of other tests for T cell parameters, in a transplant programme to predict favourable outcome and to monitor immunosuppressive therapy.
