Abstract
Agencies in Taiwan, Republic of China (R.O.C.) are currently implementing computerized traffic management systems to improve freeway, expressway, and tunnel operations. Advanced and integrated approaches are very essential to future freeway, expressway, and arterial network usage. This paper summarizes the advanced traffic management techniques and domestic Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design/implementation considerations to improve the transportation service on the national freeways and expressways in Taiwan. The same development approach may be considered by many newly developed countries throughout Asia. For the covering abstract see IRRD E102946.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
