Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present an approach to the integration and formation of the public transport system as a modern tool of the rising number of passengers who use public transport for the majority of their mobility cases - mainly for going to school, work, office, for getting medical care and treatment, or leisure travel. The three integrated public transport systems, which represent the main types of the integrated public transport system (IPTS), are analyzed in this paper. These are as follows: the regional system IREDO, the IDS JMK system around Brno, and the PID system around Prague.
