Abstract
The Jiangyin Yangtze Bridge (China) opened in1999 is one of the five largest suspension bridges in the world, with a main span of 1385 m. The bridge is of strategic importance for the Jiangsu Province, as it is one of the only two fixed links crossing the Yangtze River over more than 300 km.
