This paper describes recent applications in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and how they affect freight transport. These applications include: (1) matching systems; (2) intelligent fleet-management systems; (3) innovative survey methods; (4) common information platforms; and (5) booking systems for truck parking places.
