Abstract
This article looks at economic issues relating to toll roads in the U.S. in the early 1960s. The question of double taxation, the characteristics of toll road bond issues, toll road receipts and outlays, and toll road concession revenues compared with collection costs are some of the topics raised and discussed, and several illustrative tables are provided.
