Abstract
The Structures Research Area of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) is developing new ways of testing and rehabilitating reinforced concrete structures suffering from chloride induced corrosion due to deicing salt or sea salt attack. This paper reviews the work of the six main contracts and subsidiary SHRP IDEA contracts. The main topics dealt with are non-destructive testing of reinforced concrete, cathodic protection, electrochemical chloride removal, cationic inhibitors, conventional rehabilitation techniques and the development of a methodology for rehabilitation of corrosion damaged structures.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
