Abstract

This paper addresses issues associated with developing and using warrants for traffic calming projects, specifically those relating to Local Area Traffic Management (LATM). A in the technical sense is a level of conditions at which intervention, with countermeasures, is required. The paper draws on local experiences in developing and using warrant systems for traffic calming projects in a number of municipalities in Australia.
