Abstract

The dynamic environment known as the cruise industry gives birth to new ideas that push regulatory compliance. This brings the Marine Safety Center (MSC) to face new technical challenges and requires the organization to be in tune with industry practices and knowledgeable of new standards, modeling, techniques, fire and escape theories, and many other aspects of cruise ship construction.
