Abstract

The San Antonio-Bexar County Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Brownsville Metropolitan Olanning Organization authorized and funded a series of comprehensive travel surveys of the three metropolitan areas during the period 1990 to 1991. The purpose of these surveys is to determine whether the trip rates have changed in the past 20 years and, if they have, to what extent. The information will be used in determining how developments may affect travel patterns.
