Abstract
The paper examines the provisions for dynamic loads presented in the Ontario Highway Bridge Design Code. The provisions present the mechanics of vehicle and bridge dynamic interaction for the spectrum of both bridges and trucks on Ontario's highway system. The paper reviews test procedures, and recommends standard methods that might be used for dynamic testing of highway bridges.
