Abstract
This article describes a study of traffic control in urban networks under conditions of traffic congestion. The aim is to establish a computer programme for traffic engineers. The present methods of traffic signal control which are based on a selection of fixed coordinated programs that presuppose a satisfactory flow of traffic, are not adapted to traffic saturation. /TRRL/
