Abstract

As a novel and economical means to collect data of traffic, floating car system is of widespread interest and can be applied in route guidance and incident detection etc. On the basis of the features of the floating car system, this paper discusses some types of applications in Beijing such as determination of journey time, effectiveness of traffic control, management of taxi policy and the level of service on the road network. For the covering abstract see ITRD E140665.
