Abstract

Factors affecting concrete strength are analyzed in this paper. The effect of cement, aggregate and void rate on the strength of cement concrete is analyzed in detail. On the basis of this, two ways to improve concrete strength by using silica fume and water-reducer respectively are introduced, and the action of the silica fume and the water-reducer are compared. It is pointed out that the silica fume is stronger than the water-reducer in producing high-strength concrete.
