Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) and the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights (AHRC) in the promotion of human security in Africa. It specifically addresses ways in which the human rights mechanisms used by these African human rights bodies for the protection and promotion of human rights contribute to the promotion of human security in Africa. It seeks to carry out this investigation within the framework of the relationship between human rights and human security.
