Abstract

One result of the fuel crisis and the tripled fuel prices is the search for steam turbine plants with a higher efficiency, which means a lower fuel consumption. Practically, a reasonable gain can be achieved with reheat and higher steam pressure only. An integrated control system is described which will reduce the deviations from the steady state conditions. By this, the safety of the plant is increased.
