Abstract
The purpose of this paper is first of all to discuss the topic of water transportation as compared to other modes of transportation. Barge transportation is then compared to other types of shipping. Different types of barge-related concepts are discussed, and a detailed description of some of the latest ships and systems is given. This paper aims to cover both the management aspects of barge transportation systems and the technical problems that arise when such systems are introduced.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
