Abstract

In this paper, the necessity for uniformity in traffic laws and regulations has been discussed, which result in increased personal safety, reduction in property damage, better traffic flow and extensive community benefits. Attention has been drawn to the hazards of lack of uniformity in traffic regulations. Present enforcement situation of traffic regulations in India has been outlined and methods of effective enforcement are suggested. The covering abstract for the proceedings is TRIS 368005. (TRRL)
