Abstract
This paper analyses the relationship among asphalt layer thickness, basecourse types, pavement deflections, traffic and long-term pavement conditions based on the pavement performance data measured in Beijing rural highway network. The effect of pavement structural combinations on pavement performance are analysed qualitatively. A new principle for pavement structural combinations is proposed.
