Abstract
The change of microbial biomass CARBON and the relation between microbial biomass carbon and physiochemical properties of corn soil in Songliao Plain were studied. The results indicated that microbial biomass carbon and microbial quotient of high yield soil are significantly higher than those in the normal yield soil under high yield culture pattern.Microbial biomass carbon has a significantly positive relation with the orgnic carbon total nitrogen(P0.05),available phosphorus, amount of aggregate(0.25 mm),mean weight diameter(P0.01) of soil and corn yield(P0.01);it has a negative relation with bulk density(P0.05) and pH,rate of structure damage(P0.01) of soil.It follows that microbial biomass carbon is very important in estimating the quality of soil and indicating the variance of fertility of high-yielding culture pattern soil.
