Researchers at the Texas Transportation Institute are developing guidelines that will aid vegetation managers in selecting the appropriate techniques when designing roadside maintenance contracts. This article explains that the aim is to restore roadside vegetation to healthier, more stable native grass communities. With proper maintenance techniques, roadsides will stabilize, eliminating the need for intensive maintenance.
