Abstract

Contract 203 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) in the UK is to provide the civil engineering infrastructure that will support the high-speed link as it passes across King's Cross Lands from the west portal of the London tunnels to connect with the Midland Main Line railway just north of St Pancras Station. The value of the project is greater than 100 million. The contract covers the launch of a steel bridge over the existing East Coast Main Line railway, the re-alignment of York Way, construction of two crossover boxes prior to joining the Midland Main Line, demolition and reconstruction of bridges over Camley Street and Regent's Canal, construction of a tunnel between the existing Thames Link Line to the East Coast Main Line. The work is being conducted by Kier Nuttall. Rail Link Engineering is the project manager working for the client Union Railways North.
