Abstract
In order to cope with chronic traffic congestion and an increasing number of car accidents, a new area-wide traffic control has been required to offer road users traffic information helpful for smooth traffic flow that conventional traffic control does not cover. The Metropolitan Police Department has developed a display terminal for area-wide traffic information to be installed in public facilities such as airports and parks so that road traffic information is available to common drivers.
