Abstract

日本産の所謂シロハシイエカ"Culex vishnui"は研究者によってCulex vishnui Theobald, 1901あるいわ,Culex pseudovishnui Colless, 1957と呼ばれていたが,著者等が琉球及び日本本土各地から得た幼虫標本226個体につき主要な形態的特長を調べた結果,最近Lien (1968)によって記載されたCulex (Culex) neovishnui Lien, 1968によく一致するので琉球及び日本本土に関する限りではシロハシイエカCulex (Culex) neovishnui Lien, 1968と呼ぶことが適当であると思われる.
