Abstract

This is the catalogue for the Trust's major centenary exhibition at the National Gallery, an exhibition which brings together an almost complete cross-section of the paintings shown in National Trust houses. The book also contains an essay on collecting and displaying paintings in Trust houses and a gazetteer of patrons, collectors and houses.
