Abstract
This report highlights key recommendations and best practices identified at the peer exchange on Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMP), held on February 5 and 6, 2014, in Columbia, South Carolina. This event was sponsored by the Transportation Planning Capacity Building (TPCB) Peer Program, which is jointly funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Through this peer exchange South Carolina Department of Transportation sought to gain a better understanding of the asset management process. The peers agencies represented were Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Minnesota Department of Transportation and North Carolina Department of Transportation.
