Abstract
Sean B. Hoar has been an AUSA since 1991 and is the Computer and Telecommunications Coordinator (CTC) for the southern half of the District of Oregon.As such, he prosecuted the first case in the United States under the No El_ec?"onicTheft Act (NET Act) involving cnmmal copyright infringement on the Internet.He is primarily concerned with developing partnerships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to prevent, investigate and prosecute cyber crime.Previously he was primarily involved in the prosecution of organizational narcotics traffickers and received the J?irectors ~ ward for his role in prosecuting a herom traffickmg organization based in Southeast Asia which included a General in the Royal Thai Army who was a member of the Supreme Command of the Roval Thai Armed Forces.a Computer Records and the Federal Rules of Evidence
