Abstract
The software framework and data structure of simulation model for ETC toll station were introduced firstly. On the base of the major variable and member function, Electronic Toll Simulation Program £¨ETSP£© was developed. The traffic flow characters for simulation of East Wuxi toll station in Shanghai-Nanjing expressway were investigated and analyzed. The ETSP was running respectively under the situation of one/two/three ETC lane £¨s£©, and the curve diagrams were outputted corresponding to the low/middle/high traffic flow. The relationship between numbers of ETC lane and service level was analyzed accordingly, which to be the basis to determine the most appropriate number of ETC lane in a certain condition.
