Abstract

Experimental tests of congested traffic flows on level junctions controlled by traffic signals normally include a study of the intensity of traffic congestion in the function of the traffic signal cycle length. The results obtained are expanded on the so- called green light hour and the width of an approach is presented in graphic form. The results of Yugoslavian research presented here show some hesitation in relation to congested traffic flow for the same values of cycles and the same width for the same traffic flow structure, while the influence of the traffic lane width has not been determined.
