This article describes and examines current ITS advancements and technologies for Commercial Vehicle Operations (CVO), Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS), Advanced Public Transportation Systems (APTS), Advanced Rural Transportation Systems (ARTS), and Advanced Vehicle Control Systems (AVCS) as they apply to trucks and trucking.
