STUDYING THE UNIFIED APPROACH TO TRAFFIC SAFETY

The article describes an attempt to solve the problem of traffic accidents and to improve traffic safety. The author proposes a unified program to approach the problem. The unified program requires support on the state level and training for administrators of traffic safety programs. The essential elements of a unified program include death and injury records, traffic legislation, accident facts, traffic and highway engineering, traffic law enforcement, driver licensing, motor vehicle inspections, school traffic safety education, public safety education, and state safety organizations.
