Abstract
Toll collection as one funding source for highway construction and maintenance grows rapidly now in Vietnam. But there are still various problems in the technical and institutional aspects, some of which will be considered by this paper. Firstly, the methodology for determination of road toll station location and size is presented, and after that, an institutional analysis is carried out with suggestions to improve the system by using ITS technology.
