Abstract
This paper describes the management strategy of total quality control and how it might be applied to main roads Queensland to achieve its quality objectives. It also describes the quality assurance programme which has been instituted on a trial basis in a number of roadwork contracts for the department. The paper also details some aspects of quality control procedures on main roads projects and stresses the importance of reacting quickly and appropriately to quality variances (a).
