Recent Highway Capacity and Operations Research in the United States

This paper reports on the status and interim results (where available) of recently completed and ongoing research in the United States into highway operations and highway capacity. The focus of this paper is on research sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program jointly sponsored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and FHWA.
