Abstract
This package is designed to help students to experiment in the area of the dynamics of sensors using a PC. The book contains exercises, whilst the software provides a means of experimenting with models of sensors. The programs contain sets of screens, each corresponding to a section of the book. Topics covered by this pack include the design and static characteristics of resistive temperature sensors, the physics of heat exchange, stationary heat exchange in resistive temperature sensors, the dynamic heat-exchange model of resistive temperature sensors, the dynamic heat-exchange model of resistive temperature sensors with a protective layer, step response of resistive temperature sensors, frequency response of resistive temperature sensors, and dynamic errors in resistive temperature sensors.
