Abstract
A three stage SWATH ship development program consisting of small size fast passenger ships and medium and large size fast ferries has been developed. As the first step of the three-stage project, the design of a 35 knot, 300 passenger SWATH ship with an endurance of over 250 nautical miles has been carried out. The design philosophy together with a newly developed numerical technique of calculating resistance is presented in this paper. The final configuration will be obtained through the parametric studies on the resistance of each components (underwater bodies and struts) as well as the overall resistance as a system.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
