Abstract
This paper outlines the prosed changes and additions to the interim manual for the design of flexible pavements which was issued in 1981. A swing from traditional unbound pavements to those with a cemented base has led to a need to better appreciate the durability of these pavements. The manual is to include additional design charts, catering for local needs. The author then lists current projects directly related to pavements which are being carried out by materials branch viz, moisture in pavements, pavement performance, pavement rehabilitation, and pavement materials characterization.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
