Abstract
SSPA has carried out model tests with craft fitted with waterjet propulsion units for more than 20 years. A review of some of the most important projects is given as well as a description of the continuous developments in the testing techniques and prediction methods used. The gross thrust concept is criticized and an alternative net thrust concept is proposed. A method with some new elements for prediction of full scale power from self propulsion tests is outlined.
