Abstract
This article looks at the traffic accident fatality rate in Indiana, as of the mid-1950s, and examines highway safety practices in the state to determine where improvements can be made. A brief review of traffic problems is provided, accident factors are investigated, and a number of suggestions are made, including a 9-point traffic safety program.
