Abstract

This article reports on the April 2014 launch of Central Florida's first modern rail system, SunRail, serving Orlando and Central Florida. Its initial service runs between the Sand Lake Road Station, south of Orlando, and DeBarry, to the city's north. Issues covered are ridership, service extensions, and community response.
