Abstract
This paper presents the procedures developed at the ryde municipal council for the establishment of a road register and information system and the use of such a system in the preparation for council of maintenance and construction programmes together with the preparation of statistical returns for the state and federal governments. The methodology for the development and implementation of this programme is described.
