Abstract

The paper gives a report on the 1977 Annual Meeting of Stuva (Society for the Study of Underground Transport Installations, Cologne). The main points are reported on four papers from the subject group groundwater and Sealing. Ground water syphoning using horizontal injection rods in underground mass transit construction, underwater reinforced concrete, the establishment of watertight excavations, ECB-plastic waterproofing membranes in the Hattelberg tunnel and joint and flange details in plastic waterproofing are described. In all four papers solutions for difficult construction works and waterproofing details are given using practical examples.
