This article provides an overview of 7 steps that can be taken to help most police departments achieve a sound traffic control program for their town, city, or other municipal area. The focus is on principles of organization, training, and education. The aim was to help police entities reduce the number of traffic accidents and injuries/fatalities in this era (circa 1946).
