Abstract
A contra-rotating propeller is one of the most energy saving propulsor. In this paper, extensive experiments were performed to confirm a new design program code developed by the authors and to evaluate the reliability of measurements from two types of contra-rotating propeller dynamometers of different capacities. Reasonable agreement between the respective measurements were obtained and confirmed that the existing method was suitable for the design of contra-rotating propellers for higher speed ships.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
