Abstract

In this paper, an outline of advanced technology of fluids, structures and vibration for the development of ships and offshore structures, and their applications is presented. Advanced methods to predict propeller performance and ship's stern flow and their application to ship design are introduced. An method of analysis for hull structure reliability is given. Finally, a simulator for ship vibrations and its application to full scale ship vibration prediction is presented.
