Abstract
A systematic presentation of the aggregate and disaggregate prescriptions for model construction is compared with distinction between assumptions with sequential and simultaneous choice making behaviour. A number of the better known models are categorised in this way, and the development of binary choice logit models in assessing individual utility in travel behaviour is given.
