CALCULATION OF THE AXLE SHAFTS FOR WHEEL SETS OF RAILROAD ROLLING STOCK

Abstract

A method is described for calculating the endurance limit of axles, which lends itself also to the calculation of driving axles. Characteristic values required for the calculation are indicated. Various calculation methods are compared by using the example of an axle for a wheel set. Table presented illustrates the procedure used for the calculation of driving axles.
